Best romcom I’ve made it thru in a minute! Didn’t think I was gonna like it for the first 30pgs, very much enjoyed the next 150pgs, and was tugged back and forth for the rest. I get it! Lots to grapple with from 2020� but this read to me as Erdrich setting out to write about Flora and the bookstore and Native identities, and then living through the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protests and just sort of trying to weave them in.
