As the great grandson & grandson of WWI and WWII veterans and having served over 25 years myself in the Canadian Armed Forces, I couldn’t put this life story of one of our Canadian heroes, Herb Peppard down. I only wish I had met this Special Forces pioneer myself. My greatest appreciation to the author, Janice Dickson, for helping ensure Herb become “the eternal man. Pro Patria.
The New Rules of War: Victory in the Age of Durable Disorder by Dr Sean McFate. Although I don’t agree with all the assertions made by the author, he challenges conventional military thinking in how the West needs to prepare, react and ultimately win in modern non-traditional conflict. This book is thought provoking and should be read by those in key positions impacting national foreign policy and national security.
