I believe I read the beginning of this book as a preteen many years ago. The prose is magnificent. It was so rich I often read passages several times. The story was wonderful. It was both an adventure and an exploration of the heart. Another beautiful work by a brilliant writer--an inspiring star I can never reach. I wish I could tell this to the author.
