I think the original Mistborn trilogy and world was super well done and had high hopes for the time skip sequel trilogy of Mistborn. This one just wasn't made for me. Its more of a steampunk world, which is actually really well done, but the characters just don't do it for me. I'm going to continue with the series just for the Cosmere interconnection that is planned, but the Era 2 did not start of strong for me. ...more

War, betrayal, and Rand al’Thor becoming one of my favorite characters in fiction. So far this has been one of my favorites in the series. I’m still digesting this book but it’s made me jump into Libby and get the 7th book downloaded and I had to start it in the same day I finished this one. This entry kept the momentum going after the build up of book 5 and it ends with a bang. The last few chapters had me reading non-stop to get to th ...more
