it was amazing
I have been a massive fan of Lynda Barry since I discovered her Ernie Pook’s Comeek strip back in the early �90s. Barry has this uncanny knack of capturing experiences and emotions in a déjà vu kind of way for her readers. I’ve always admired that quality in her comics and have tried to emulate it numerous times on my own.

Knockemstiff is a dark, gritty, grimy, and depressing collection of loosely connected short stories about the poor and downtrodden inhabitants of the small rural town of Knockemstiff, Ohio. The houses are rundown, the trailers rust streaked, and the air smells like rotten eggs from the paper mill.
