First published in 2020, I've had a copy of this one for almost 4 years. It was one of those (many) books I purchased at the height of the pandemic, some of which I still haven't gotten around to.
Clearly I was in no hurry to read it, so I'm not even sure why I decided to read it now. But you know what? I'm so glad I did. What an amazing book!

One of the best short story collections I've read so far. Having grown up in a Black church, I really appreciate what the author does with this. I love how Black and queer everything is. My faves were (in no particular order) "Peach Cobbler," "How to Make Love to a Physicist," "Jael," and "Instructions for Married Christian Husbands."
