it was amazing
My first read of 2024 is 5 stars with no hesitation. Before reading this, I never thought I’d show an interest in chess because it’s boringggg. BUT THIS? Man, I love chess.

i genuinely think this book gave me severe whiplash.
after the love of silas and rosemary being the key theme of the story, i was absolutely terrified to read his romance with another woman- but this book did not disappoint.
coraline and silas were everything i needed even though i didn’t know i needed it. how can two people, so wronged by the world, still find solace within one another? that’s just so beautiful to me.
