Ok...

So I have some thoughts here, and probably a slightly unpopular opinion on this book. :)

First off, I can definitely see why this is a popular series-there's romance, it's very engaging, the writing is decent, except for the beginning where it was a bit choppy.
The world building was pretty good (not including the magic system, since I didn't think it was well done at all)-the cities are the main thing that comes to mind.

really liked it
"Mother would say that every day is a miracle. That it is we who have grown so dull and stupid that we do not see it, expecting the miracles to go on and on, without recognising them for what they are."

What a delightful read! I wish more romance books like this existed. The writing style perfectly matches the cozy Fantasy/gothic mood of this novella. Defiantly some Pride and Prejudice/ Jane Austen vibes. The vocabulary was amazing. Some great Chr
