This is the third book in the DI Ruth Hunter series. I read the first two in the series and didn’t really enjoy them, but thought, with all the good reviews, the series had to get better. WRONG! DI Hunter is the most incompetent lead detective I have encountered what with her naïve theorizing � and re-theorizing � about the crimes under investigation. The first in this series that I’ve read � and the last, too! Surely this is meant to be tongue-in-cheek. A farcical twist on traditional police procedurals? Can’t believe all the positive reviews but to each their own, I guess, but not my cup of tea!
