On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong

Tim Plumadore’s first review of the year

it was amazing
Very impactful look into intergenerational trauma and the aftershocks of war viewed through a son’s eyes. Vuong writes so beautifully that the novel flows like poetry.

Tim Plumadore’s last review of the year

The whole world emphasizes (at least in this first volume) the inequality of an exploit focused system like this, one that looks eerily similar to modern day capitalist systems.
