really liked it
Finally done reading this book!

I didn't know what I would find applicable when I started reading, as I have no connection at all to any university, though I worked for two in my 20s.

Found lots to note, certainly his thoughts on what and how a university ought to teach their students, given the state of many of our universities today.

it was ok
(spoilers ahead) The Awakening itself was meh. Robert puts an end to the relationship, so points for virtuous choices. Edna, however, chooses suicide. The End of the Affair is a better read.

I didn't realize the volume I got had several short stories in it as well, so I'm awarding a second star. They were readable, particularly Desiree's Baby. Loved that little twist at the end.
