really liked it
I thought this was another dark and twisty one from the author and while things once again went a bit over the top, I really enjoyed it.

There are some overused words and phrases, for example Somers blushing or sounding apologetic is mentioned A LOT. I like that the characters have a backstory, but it feels like the author picked just one characteristic for each detective (Somers is beautiful, Everett was a nurse, Gislingham is a new dad, Fawey s

This was a very different style for Swanson and while it wasn’t my favorite by him, I’m always happy to try something new and different and it was an entertaining quick read.
