really liked it
Remember, every treasure comes with a price.

It's fun. It's easy to read. Is there much literary value to the book? Not really, but not every book needs to have it. Sometimes, you just need the escapism, and I sure love escaping into this world.

I like the varying POVs, as they give a complete picture of these people and the world they inhabit. The use of footnotes was clever, if at times unnecessary, and I appreciate how open-ended the book is

Up to and including this book, the PJO/HOO series got better and better with each book that came out (we'll talk about all the ways Blood of Olympus let me down later). This book hit all the right marks for this series: action-packed, surprisingly heart-felt, high stakes, and included a satisfying conclusion. I will admit that the ending felt a little too easy, but it didn't annoy me as much as it probably should have.
