3.5. Wu doesn't paint herself in the best light in her memoir but that is exactly what made it so compelling. She acknowledges her insecurities, jealousy and pettiness in refreshing honesty as she reflects on the highs and lows of her life. I like that she is emotional. As someone who also has 'big feelings', I felt for Wu for going through trauma alone and ashamed for being 'too much,'

The writing was flat, shallow and almost juvenile which ironically worked in my favour because it was fast-paced enough that I could get through this book quite quickly. Neither the characters or the story was compelling and it was way too long considering so little goes on. There was no intrigue and I felt so indifferent throughout; I'm just glad it's over. ...more
