Missed potential, but all in all a satisfactory read.

The book is advertised as a genre-bending SciFi read, which I can confirm.
The plot follows two protagonists, who try to uncover the mystery behind randomly appearing "nostalgic" objects, that hold great significance and risk for certain people and mankind itself.

This felt like work. Definitely the least favorite from Murakami I read so far.
This one has the magical disposition that even the most extraordinary things feel like preparing tax returns. Or you could say it is the most sophisticated slow burn romance I ever read. But at least the payoff was ok.
