Tammy -- I'm so glad you enjoyed the Cimarron Creek series. Authors aren't supposed to have favorite books, but I have to admit that this one is very close to my heart.
You've raised an excellent point, and you're right: Catherine deserves time in Paris. I've been thinking about writing several novellas, giving readers a glimpse into their favorite characters' future. Perhaps it's time to send Catherine and Austin to Paris for their tenth anniversary. At that point, Seth would be 23 and ready for a romance of his own. What do you think?

Violetta -- Yes, there's a third book in the Cimarron Creek trilogy. It's entitled A Tender Hope and is scheduled to release on March 5, 2019. I'm excited about this book, because not only does it answer all the questions that were raised in the first two books, but it features Thea, the little sister from Paper Roses who delighted so many readers. After years of being asked, "When will Thea have her story?" I can finally say, "Soon!"

That's a difficult question, since all of my books are romances. I'd suggest you start with the first in any of the trilogies -- Paper Roses, Summer of Promise, or A Stolen Heart if you prefer historicals. If contemporaries are your favorites, try At Bluebonnet Lake.

The "Texas Dreams" trilogy, is is one of my favorite Christian Romance series. It has a combination of unimaginable tragedy, suspense, failing faith, and if course romantic love stories. It brings to light some very "real" circumstances that causes the average Christian to question or doubt their faith. But it also provides realistic characters that remold that faith into something stronger than before. I recommend this series to any reader looking to introduce themselves to Amanda Ca Bo t's writing style.

Although I'd never advise anyone to adopt an ostrich-with-its-head-in-the-sand attitude toward industry news, my advice is to stop reading and/or listening to it for a while. Let your ideas flow freely. Don't censor them by saying, "I'll be part of the 96% that are rejected." Instead, consider that you might be part of the other 4%. Keep writing. In fact, try to write every day. And join a writers group. Being with others who are struggling with the same issues can be energizing and motivating. Above all, DO NOT GIVE UP.

It's a long, long list -- too long to include here, but the first three are Murder on the Moor by Julianna Deering, To the Farthest Shores by Elizabeth Camden, and Karin Kaufman's latest mystery, .

What an intriguing question! Unfortunately, I don't have a good answer for you. My life isn't particularly mysterious.

Never give up. If writing is your dream, pursue it, no matter how hard it sometimes seems.

I could say chocolate, since I'm convinced that a piece of chocolate can solve many of life's problems, but there are better ways to deal with writer's block. Exercise is tops on the list. Why? The endorphins it releases help relax more than the muscles in your arms and legs. They help your brain muscles relax, and that can be just what you need to end writer's block.

I’ve always been intrigued by the secrets we hold and the effect they can have not only on ourselves but also depending on their magnitude on future generations. Add to that the conflict inherent in a Northerner coming to a small town in Texas in the aftermath of the War Between the States and Reconstruction, and I had both the overarching theme of the entire Cimarron Creek trilogy and the primary conflict in A Stolen Heart.
