We are in the midst of the great Wings in the Night relaunch. All 25 stories will be re-released, one every 2 weeks. Each will include an original, new short story from Rhiannon's childhood, which will connect and create another novel.
Most people who think they've read the whole series actually have missed a few recents: TWILIGHT GUARDIANS, TWILIGHT VENDETTA, THEÂ RHIANNON CHRONICLES, DEAD BY TWILIGHT (novella in the anthology titled NIGHT'S EDGE with Christine Feehan) and
FIONA: ORIGINS. So look out for those if you've missed them.
Yes there will be more and these Rhiannon shorts will be released as a whole once they're all written. I'm writing them as we go along for each reissue. I have more to come.
Thanks so much for loving this series! It's truly the signature work of my career and it will not end until I croak.
Love,
Maggie

Hi, Timothy. Thanks for dropping by. Two answers, the first series, The Texas Brands, was set in Texas, and one of the characters casually mentioned the rowdy Oklahoma branch of the family. I had no idea why at the time, but it turned out the TX series was my most popular ever, so when I ran out of Texans, I had to come back around and give the OK branch of the family their own series. Secondly, I spend some time in Oklahoma when my son in law was stationed at Fort Sil. There's a new spinoff series, The McIntyre Men, that picks up after Sweet Vidalia Brand.

Oh, what a fun story. Yes, it's part of Wings in the Night: Reborn, and that series (including this book) are here:

Oh wow, what a wonderful question and what a terrific idea! The answer is no, they haven't, but now I'm going to have to mull on this. It could certainly be done. In the meantime for more witches, see THE IMMORTALS series, ere: and THE PORTAL series, here: The Immortals are immortal "high witches" and the novels span centuries, from the time of their origins into the modern day. The Portal Series features slightly more mundane witches, once sisters who've reincarnated lifetime after lifetime to find each other again and break an ancient curse.

We're slowly loading every title onto Googleplay but we'll make real progress on this over summer vacation. My formatter is also a teacher. But I don't know what book bundle you're referring to. Can you give me more details? The 22nd of December? I have nothing planned, but it might be something my former publisher is doing to keep the books under contract. If so, it should go up on GooglePlay on release day.

Sorry to say not just yet. And it's likely to be a while for various reasons. But it is in my list of goals for the year.

Hi, Amy. I strongly recommend switching to Amazon.co.uk, or Kobo. I've had to remove all my books from GooglePlay because they kept switching my prices without even notifying me, which repeatedly put me in violation of my terms of agreement with Amazon and other retailers. I contacted Google over and over, pleading with them to stop this practice of arbitrarily changing prices, but they refused. Since Amazon accounts for nearly 70% of my annual income, I could not risk my relationship with them, and since Google accounted for less than 2%, my only option was to stop dealing with them until and unless they change this policy. I'm very sorry. However, the Kindle app is free and will work on any smartphone, and they have far more titles available than any other retailer. I'm really sorry about this, but Google truly forced me to take this step.

Please do. Make sure you have the latest version of the book, if you could. We are constantly updating to try to catch every last typo. Thank you!

Nothing more definite than sometime in 2016, and very likely it'll be my autumn release, as I have a trilogy to write first. It might even be a holiday themed thriller. Just decided: the 2016 FREE serial story will also be Brown & de Luca. You heard it here first. :) Subscribers get a segment a month, and the story, while ending in a satisfying place, will spill over into a bigger novel to be published at year's end. There you have it. Newsletter sign up, btw, is here:

Yes, Wings in the Night parts 1 and 2 include the first 12 stories in the series. And yes, they go back before Kindle. The first book was released in 1993, and the final one in 2011. Now there is Wings in the Night: Reborn where the series lives on. You can find all the titles, in order, for both series, including reissues of the originals in E only, on my WingsintheNight.com site. These books are truly the work of my lifetime. Thank you so much for your question.

I think Magick and the LOA IS my book about Wicca. I hadn't planned another, though I might have intended it at once point. I'm still trying to find my unique take on things that's different from what's already out there. So far, there's not a lot I can think of to teach that isn't already being taught by other authors on the subject. I don't want to just regurgitate what's already been done. With Magick and LOA, I felt I had something that hadn't been touched on. If anything, I'd like to explore that end of things more deeply. Maybe a book of LOA based rituals for the working witch, Daily Practices and such. :) But right now, I've got novels stacked up to the moon on my "To Be Written" list. But now you've inspired me. Maybe if I just did a page a day I could have a Wicca/LOA book in a year's time. Hmmmm......

So glad you're enjoying the series! It's probably the best writing I've done in my 22 year, 84 title career, so you picked a very good place to start! I hope to have another B&D novel in 2016, tentatively titled Little Girl Blue. Thanks again for taking the time to stop by and leave that wonderfully uplifting note. :) Made my day even better.

No, I'm afraid not. Harlequin still holds the rights to the entire original Wings in the Night series, so I don't get to decide how or when they're released, although I did manage to talk them into re-issuing them in order, in full, but they would only do so in E. Anyway, every book in the original series is being re-released in E, with novellas bundled in with novels according to the reading order. This has been a long time coming, as they've reissued them out of order, skipped titles, and really mixed up the series. So this should at least lend clarity. Also, the complete title list is at

My vamps tend to make appearances in each other's books all the time, so you might see him pop up in more than just what I'm telling you here. However, he is prominent in Demon's Kiss, Lover's Bite and Angel's Pain which tells his story. Thanks for asking! Also, in case you didn't know, my vamps continue with Wings in the Night: Reborn, the new iteration of Wings in the Night. Twilight Guardians is on sale now and Twilight Vendetta goes on sale August 4th in print and e.

Yes, I am. First, I'd like to take the little known 4th story, a novella titled "Immortality" and expand it into a full length novel. I've got an attorney looking at my contract now to see if I can legally do this, since Berkley, who first published it, refuses to revert the rights or answer the same question. :) And I did leave room at the end that could spin off into a brand new round of books, so I'm very excited at the thought of continuing with other stories.
Maggie Shayne
Hi, Elizabeth! I'm really sorry, that's a mistake. Should cousin.
Maggie Shayne
We've changed the titles of a grand total of 7 books out of 63 novels and 26 novellas (so 89 total stories) published. That's not a lot. This happened because we got the rights back from the publishers, and because we had argued hard against the titles the publishers used. Things like "The Husband She Couldn't Remember" which we hated from the start. But the publisher insisted on it. So when we got the rights back, we gave it the title we had always given it. "Long Gone Lonesome Blues." And "That Mysterious Texas Brand Man" (seriously?) which we changed to "The Lone Cowboy." The reasons for changing are never more complicated than that we hated the publisher's title and preferred our own. We ALWAYS note the book's original title on Line 1 of the book's description on Amazon, BN, iTunes, Kobo, GooglePlay, etc, and it's also pointed out very clearly on my website. We never try to mislead readers. All but one of our title changes have been within the Brand series, btw. We also changed Forgotten Vows to the simpler and more evocative FORGOTTEN. Hope this clarifies things for you. In my opinion, when you create a work of art, be it a book, painting, sculpture, poem, invention, or anything else, you really do deserve to name it what you want, not what some giant corporation's marketing department thinks will sell. :) Hope this answers your question, and thanks so much for stopping by to post it!

The spinoff series was called The Secrets of Shadow Falls. Killing Me Softly, Kill Me Again, and Kiss Me, Kill Me. There was also a free short online only read called Kiss Me Goodbye. Thanks so much for asking. I loved these stories!
Maggie Shayne
That's a stand-alone story. You thinking it should be expanded into a series? It might be an idea worth exploring. :)
