Trump is re-elected. America does not return.

No one has ever spoken about this matter to me in person. All I can do is repeat what I read elsewhere, and what I infer. One is answer is that in the early seventies, it wasn't clear to a lot of performers how much songwriting credits could be worth, so perhaps they undervalued their long term value, and settled for cash. The other answer is drugs. Some of the fellows made poor decisions that affected their bottom line. It seems Robbie eluded that.

Thanks Jamie. I think both your suggestions are right. They went foor easy money for the dugs and cars and so on. But what remains is that I think that also Robbie knew that and took advantage of the circumstances. But why did he do that. He claims that they were his brothers. And I don't get that Levon was so angry about this later. He was there to sign the agreement. Okay, not smart, but he did. Give that fact what did he expected. That Robbie would give him the money after all? Its hurts me to say that maybe it was his own fault. What do you think about that?

My new book is called Commander Will Cushing, Daredevil Hero of the Civil War. It is the biography of a young naval officer who accomplished many daring exploits, including sinking a confederate ironclad. My initial inspiration came when I was eight years old. To mark the centenniel of the Civil War, Life magazine ran a six part series. The first installment of the series included a double-page illustration of Cushing sinking the Albemarle by the artist C.E. Monroe. I was mesmerized by this picture of this David vs. Goliath feat, and I never forgot it. When I was looking for a subject to write about a couple years ago, Lt. Cushing came to mind.

Needing to express myself. When I'm not working on a project, I try to blog. I treat my blog as a kind of journal, a record fo what I do and who I meet as well as what I think.

Whe I was starting out as a journalist, two veteran writers gave me precisely the same two pieces of advice. 1.) write as much as you can, whenever you can, for whoever asks, and 2.) go to as many parties as possible. I cannot improve on that

Happiness. I am always happy when I'm writing.

I don't really get writer's block. I have days when the writing isn't going well. I then stop and try to do something else productive, usually chores or correspondence, but sometimes just relaxing. But I have never been stuck for a prolonged period.
