I have just finished book three in the Dark Iceland series and have a question. I thought Art Thor and Kristin had a baby together in book one or two? How many book are planned for this series?
Ragnar Jónasson The series is currently five books, or more exactly six because there is a prequel about Ari though, only available in Icelandic as of yet. The books are published out of order in some countries, but the correct order in Iceland was: 1. Fölsk nóta, 2. Snjóblinda (Snowblind), 3. Myrknætti (Blackout), 4. Rof (Rupture), 5. Andköf (Whiteout), 6. Nàttblinda (Nightblind).

Ragnar (love this name), I was intrigued by the concept of a place being isolated in the in winter prior to the building of a tunnel. Being from Louisiana, I have a hard time imagining the tunnel and how it specifically saves the town from isolation. I know this is likely not your typical question, but I am curious. Is it that the roads become impassable and the tunnel never does?
Ragnar Jónasson Yes, before the tunnel the only way was to drive over the mountain, which was almost impossible all winter long. The roads leading to the tunnel can also become impassable, but usually only a few times each winter.

I loved Snowblind and wanted to read the books in order. It looks the order that they were translated and published in English is not the chronological order of the ongoing story lines. As best as I can figure the order is Snjóblinda (Snowblind) - 2010 Myrknætti (Blackout) - 2011 Rof (Rupture) - 2012 Andköf (Whiteout) - 2013 Náttblinda (Nightblind) - 2014 Is Whiteout available in English yet? UK or USA?
Ragnar Jónasson Exactly right! Glad you liked Snowblind! Whiteout is now out in the UK, I don’t think there are any plans to publish it in the US.

Your books are set in the town where the TV drama Trapped was set. Is this a coincidence or was there some connection?
Ragnar Jónasson Probably best to ask the series producers, as the TV series came out after my Siglufjordur books had been published.
