I usually need an idea for the ending. That's key. I had it with TALENTS (the nod to A. Conan Doyle) and TROPHIES, too... I knew where I wanted to end up, and the the rest was just back stepping to there.
Same with Creatures of Appetite. I actually started with the ending.

Just finished the newest book in the Kane/Thorne series, TALENTS, and I'm prepping a new one that, if it all works out, I'd like to also publish this year.
