My first children's novel, THE 13 TREASURES, won the Waterstone's Children's Book Prize. THE OTHER ALICE won the Calderdale Book of the Year Award. A PINCH OF MAGIC won a Dutch Bronze Pen Award. My books have been translated and sold in 24 territories worldwide.

My latest novel is TWICE UPON A TIME, publishing in April 2024 in the UK. My first picture book, THERE'S A BEACH IN MY PANTS! publishes in the UK in June 2024 and is illustrated by the incredible David Tazzyman.

A few years later, I became interested in fairies (of the folklore variety) after my college tutor showed me the work of Arthur Rackham and Brian Froud. If you're not familiar with the book Faeries by Brian Froud and Alan Lee then I recommend it.
