Mimi is a Hawaii based author of two series The Tiarra Series and The Blondie Trilogy. She writes about strong women put in impossible situations, women who may sometimes seem too perfect, too sexy, or too flirty. Ultimately the heroes in her books are the better versions of ourselves, who try to find love, respect their moral codes and their ever-present large families, and live lives full of meaning.
Her books will read as large family sagas with a romantic twist, but also a deep sense of analysis of basic human desires and flaws. They typically take the readers on a journey across oceans and continents, with descriptions so credible that you’ll feel like you’re sitting right there, in Paris Barcelona or Prague.

The one word I hang on to is PERSEVERANCE...., and if you can get out of pain, sorrow or fuck up better instead of bitter, then you are my kind of a person. :-)

My second novel is being formatted and I'm working on my cover. My third and fourth are being edited. It took me years to write them, and almost the same amount of time to hone and polish them. :-)))(less)

"FORGIVENESS MEANS TO STOP FEELING ANGRY OR RESENTFUL TOWARDS SOMEONE. IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE HAVE TO LOVE OR LIKE THEM."

You forgive for yourself. You let go of that pain or anger inside.
I have friends who carry it as a precious talisman inside for years. They become prisoners of their own hate or pain. Forgiveness is like taking the handcuffs off, not from the villain, from your own heart.
It's not an easy thing and time won't heal it either. It frustrates me every time I hear that lie...'Time is a good doctor.' I Read more of this blog post »

Maria Lynch Thank you for being my Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ friend.

lauren ♡ Thanks for the add :) I'm mostly interested in reading/reviewing Young Adult books that are dystopian/sci-fi/horror/thriller. :)

message 15: by Zee

Zee Monodee Hi Mimi! Lovely meeting you! And lol, yes - Hawaii would be very much my own view, though I live inland. I'm always amazed when watching a show like Hawaii 5-0 how much the landscape is similar between there and Mauritius :)Really glad we've connected. xo

Christine Hatfield Hey Mimi

Christine Zibas As a fellow traveler, I still have Maui on my bucket list (but I have been to Oahu, the Big Island and Kauai...so far my favorite is Kauai). I can well imagine you must live in paradise (the plants alone...so gorgeous).

As a lapsed Catholic, I still consider myself very spiritual, and isn't art in all its forms (writing, painting, any creation really) the highest manifestation of that?

Well, enough blathering from me. I'll just add that I think you'd enjoy "Big Magic" by Elizabeth Gilbert if you haven't read it already. Thanks for being my friend.

message 12: by Sophie

Sophie Hey thanks for the friend invite. Yes, I'm definitely a bookworm and foodie! lol

Maeva Hiya! thanks for the friend, invite. This college girl definitely still reads. Basic necessity for a sane mind and all that :).

Aria von Dimple Hi, Mimi!

Thank you for reaching out! And YOUR picture is cute, I admire the happiness that radiates through it.

You live on a Hawaiian island? That's so amazing!

And I really like your life philosophy. Not to worry about the small, menial things but focus on the things that really matter and find happiness in them.

I wish you all the best!

Hugs,
Aria
