an interview! ^_^
I feel pretty weird being exposed like this, but here's a long interview about 'me' on gay book promotions.

Goodbye to London
I don’t recall where Blue Jay came about. I created Chris in book 2 of London Stories, who is Liam’s friend. Chris is funny and sad, aloof and caring—my favourite kind of characters. I had to write another novel about them and give them some kind of closure, even though it took me about a year! All the readers so far have said they cried and laughed. How very angsty, raw and gritty Blue Jay is. How uplifting, romantic and hopeful it also is. Honestly, I don’t know why I write such dark stuff. In fact, I planned to pen a sort of romantic comedy, and ended up with a story containing a long list of content warnings! Yes, there are real people like these protagonists, but Chris and Alex are nothing like me. No, that’s a lie. They are made up of bits of me. Chris’s wry sense of humour, fierce independence and aversion to all things romantic. Alex is a tough one, who hides some extreme emotions.
I loved writing about London; I am always walking around the city, dreaming up stories that happen all around me. Leyton and Bethnal Green, Soho, Finsbury Park, Islington, Crouch End. You won’t find them on the tourist map but they have their own histories and eccentrics. I adore Cork and Dublin, hence the creation of Liam Murphy [For Hire], so I can take the readers to the Emerald Isle.
I am sad to say goodbye to these characters and their universe after obsessing over them for several years. Enjoy, if you choose to take a punt and read the books. ^_^

Autism Awareness read
To celebrate
World Autism Awareness Week 30 March to 2 April
I am revisiting my lesfic novella Courting Light, currently $1.20
Our days were numbered but precious.
Courting Light is the story of Josie, an eighteen-year-old about to leave home to start university in London. She volunteers at a summer camp for disabled children. When Josie is paired with the autistic teenager Lucian, she faces intense experiences that are truly eye-opening. To her surprise, Lucian is not the only one who captures her attention. Over the weeks, Josie develops powerful desires evoked by the camp’s enigmatic young leader with a shaved head and tattoo on her skull.
