Kaytalin Platt is the author of the genre-bending fantasy series, The Equitas, which follows a powerful time mage trapped in a recurring war with a creature bent on destroying the universe. She is also the author of the dark fantasy romance novel, Of Silver & Sin. Born in Deer Park, AL, Platt now resides just outside Philadelphia, PA with her husband, child, and rescue dog.

There are a bunch of advice articles and books that will tell writers that they need to write every day, but sometimes you really do just need to step back from the story and come back to it with fresh eyes. What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Kaytalin Platt I love writing because it lets me explore worlds that I'll never, ever get to see in life. I get to meet people that couldn't possibly exist. I get to…m´Ç°ù±ðI love writing because it lets me explore worlds that I'll never, ever get to see in life. I get to meet people that couldn't possibly exist. I get to live a thousand lives, while I've only got the one. The same can be said for reading. It allows you to live more than one life, to experience more than one world. But, with writing, I get to create those worlds.(less)
