Giovanni Enrico Morassutti is an Italian actor, director, writer, artist and cultural entrepreneur born in Padua from a German mother and an Italian father.

While still in high school he began to study acting and directing during a workshop with Susan Strasberg. At 18 years old he moved to New York City to study in deep The Method. After being an intern at the Actors Studio, where he observed the sessions for about a year, he became a student of at the HB studio and eventually of John Strasberg, son of Lee and Paula Strasberg and younger brother of Susan with whom he has been studying and collaborating as a coordinator for his workshops in Italy and in Berlin. In New York, Giovanni worked as an actor in theatre and film productions directed by Ellen Stewart, Ted Mornel,, and Gus Van Sant among others and also directed plays like Sola in casa (Alone at home) by Dino Buzzati starring Lydia Biondi and presented at the Cherry Lane Theatre.
is also a graduate of the in Rome directed by actor Giancarlo Giannini. In Italy he was cast in several tv shows, films and theatre productions and he also directed the play Madre sin Panuelo by Jorge Palant sponsored by the Argentian Embassy and presented in Rome and Milan in the fall of 2015.
He is also a member of the directed by Bryan Reynolds

In 2016 moved to Berlin where he was cast among other projects in For the time being directed by Daniela Lucato that was presented at the 71st edition of the Cannes Film Festival and where he founded , which is a project space and film production company that facilitates cultural activities, research and artistic experimentation.

Giovanni Morassutti is also the founder and artistic director of which is an international art residency that shares many crossovers with the affiliation space in Berlin like promoting artistic production that focuses on the development of the creative process and facilitates cultural exchange across borders. is currently working on the post production of his first documentary film set at Art Aia-Creatives /In / Residence and based on the teaching of his mentor John Strasberg.
