Hunter's Promise update
I am pushing to get this book finished and hope to have it completed and on the virtual shelf no later than April.
I am working on time management and staying off social media as well as keeping my nose out of other books. Oh how I love to read!
How about a little bit of an excerpt to keep things interesting?
I stumbled back a step as he stalked towards me. I hit the side of the bed again and my legs buckled until I was back on the mattress. He walked until he was towering over me, his fists clenching and clenching as if he wanted to throttle me.
“Everything is fine?� he growled through clenched teeth, his fangs elongated and eyes flashing. “Everything is fine?� He roared. “You died, Ivy! If it wasn’t for the quick thinking of Ariel you would have stayed dead. Do you know what it would have done to me? What it did do to me?� He leaned over me, putting those clenched fists to either side of my hips and pushed close to my face to where I had to lean back on my arms. My heart was beating fast. Oh no.
“What did you do, Crispin?� My whisper was barely audible.
His words were right up against my lips, “I did what I had to do to not lose you, mate.�
