The Love of Her Lives soundtrack

Music is so important to me in novels, especially in my own. I always write with songs in mind — either the song that would be playing in the movie soundtrack, or just a piece that highlights the mood of the moment. The Love of Her Lives was a great one to make a Spotify playlist

Inspiration and influence

On this publication day for The Love of Her Lives, I would love to thank everybody involved for all their support and encouragement. I also want to celebrate how that motivation got me to publishing my third multiverse romance novel! I’m so grateful to all of you. I certainly don’t expect all the people who

Hear ye, hear ye!

Friends, I hope this finds you well. I thought I’d share some exciting news, primarily audiobook related, along with Some Thoughts that I’ve recently been having about audiobooks. Those of you who follow my socials will know I’ve been a busy bee, promoting the new book (#3) coming out on June 13 The Love

The writing journey continues

Friends! You find me veeeery excited, as (after much deliberation) I’ve decided to embark on a new manuscript for multiverse romance number four. Eek! I thought I’d tell you a little bit about it. Honestly, I wasn’t going to do this, as three books based around a multiverse premise seemed a good number. And surely

Tweaking the tone

I’m in the middle of a really fun and totally unexpected project right now, to do with my second novel, The Love I Could Have Had. The book came out last summer, July 2023, and I had already accepted an audiobook publishing deal with Spotify when it came out on e-book and paperback. Due to

The end of an ending

There’s an expression about writing craft that I’m sure most of you have heard: “Kill your darlings. Well, it applies not just to characters whom you love but are superfluous to requirements, but also to plot elements, scenes, and much more. Including, it seems, endings.  As I’ve written about before, endings are hard. Getting it

Good news comes in threes

I’m so happy! I can now share that I’ve accepted an offer from my usual publisher, Joffe Books, to publish my third multiverse romance in Summer 2024. Yay! The offer didn’t come without a couple of conditions—mainly that I revise a couple of spots, add some context and clarifications, and most importantly, rewrite the ending

Grappling with multiverse romance #3

Friends! I’ve taken my sweet time since I last posted here, and figured I was overdue for a quick update. As you may have read a while back, I have been writing my third multiverse romance this year, and I finished a first draft in late spring. I took the summer to send it out

Music as a muse

For me, music is an essential element of my stories. It’s hard to imagine writing a book where the main characters don’t listen to music, talk about it, and go to a concert of some kind. My recently released novel, The Love I Could Have Had, does this, as did my debut last year and

The why, the how, and the who

My latest novel, The Love I Could Have Had, was published today! And of course, as with my debut book last year, there was a whole team of wonderful people behind this book’s eventual launch, both professionally and personally. In case not all of them make it to the Acknowledgments section at the end of
