Is it too early to think about Christmas?

Is it too early to think about Christmas?I realize it's not yet October. In Nebraska, the leaves are only now starting to change. We're just now entering the season of football, hoodies, and pumpkin spice lattes. The grocery stores have stacks of pumpkins out front. Yet...

Is it nerdy to read your own books?

Is it nerdy to read your own books?I don’t know what got into me but in the past few weeks, I’ve found myself rereading a whole slew of my past Good Hope books (as well as the Silver Creek ones) and REALLY enjoying them. Sometimes I’m surprised by a certain twist in the story and find myself wondering what happens next.Ìý

Old Dogs New Books

Old Dogs New BooksDogs and books are two things I absolutely adore. When someone posts their book cover and it has a dog on it (any kind of dog) it always catches my eye and I have to check it out. I also LOVE pictures/memes and cute dog stories.Ìý

Exciting times

Exciting timesIt's now been a year since my husband and I began self-isolating. We live in the country so being close to neighbors has never been an issue. During the past 12 months, we've embraced grocery store pick-ups, long walks with the dogs in sparsely populated areas, and eating all meals at home (hello air fryer)Ìý What have I missed most?Ìý

Ho-ho-whoa!

Ho-ho-whoa!2020 has been an interesting year.Ìý Still, this Thanksgiving I'm so gratefulÌýfor all my blessings: good health, a loving husband, a daughter and son-in-law I adore and three amazing granddaughters. I may not be able to travel (something I love) or have lunch with friends (something else I love). I may not be able to hug friends and family or get-together on the holidays, but I'm healthy and they're healthy and that's what matters.Ìý

Looking forward to falling leaves

Looking forward to falling leavesHappy September!Ìý We're heading into autumn, a season I absolutely adore. Why? The cooler temperatures for starters. MyÌýtwo dogs, Chico and Finley,Ìýenjoy our walks so much more when it's not 90 degrees plus.Ìý It may be my Scandanavian background but I also tolerate walks in cooler weather so much better than when the temps are high and the dew point 70+.
