This book is exactly why I love period pieces: the slow burn, the slivers of romance, the culture!! "Ana María and The Fox" made me want to be swooned at a ball while wearing beautiful, colorful gowns.

It's also been a while since I related to a main character so much, especially with being the oldest sister and being a Latina woman. I devoured this book and the story captivated me from the very beginning. Can't wait for the rest of it :)

First of all, I DIDN'T KNOW THE MAIN CHARACTER AND HER FAMILY WERE LATINOS!!

I started this book without any expectations. And while I may not reread this book, I really did enjoy it.

It's cute and funny and makes fun of itself sometimes. The plot and characters didn't seem to have that much depth to me, and yet it's a very light and enjoyable story!

Also...fastest book I've ever read...3 days tops.

Amazing first introductory chapter, really set the tone for the rest of the book, and it’s an incredible foundation for the storyline and the character arcs. The start of a full circle moment.

The characters are so well-rounded and real, relatable and vulnerable. It’s as if I’m reading about the lives of people I know. AND THE USE OF SPANISH...

The scenery descriptions are to die for, and I’m always feeling as if I’m right in there with them, living in the story.

SO MUCH TENSION AND EMOTIONS. THE SLOW BURN�.the build-ups and the climaxes for each scene, chapter, and moment in the story are so well-written, I am amazed by Alexis.

It’s sweet, it’s light and tense at the same time, it’s beautifully heartwarming, and I’m never expecting the little twists and dramatic moments.

As a Latina, this is exactly the kind of romance and story I wish I had growing up, and I can’t wait to read Alexis� other works. BRAVA!

As most of you (I hope) already read from my newsletter, I AM FINALLY SELF-PUBLISHING!!

This past almost three years with on Wattpad have been amazing and I've had the best experiences with my readers and the few months I spent as an ambassador.

But as life goes on, so should my book...and I'm ready to take the next steps!

It'll be a long process, starting with undergoing professional editing with my newfound editor: . AND, you can officially save the date, "Book of You & I" will be released on January 14th,2024. Pay attention to for even more details!

Sadly...that does mean that around a month before release, I will take the book down from Wattpad. Although, I will leave a few things, including the synopsis, the aesthetics of the characters, and maybe the first chapter along with an author's note.

I love and hold this story very dear and close to my heart, and the characters mean the world to me. But, sadly, "Book of You & I" has come to an end (pain).

But don't fret, as I have another exciting and emotional surprise.

Drum roll, please...

There's a sequel in the works!! You can read more about that later, but here's what you need to know for now:

� The story will be centered around Ollie and her life after the ending of "Book of You & I," set about a year and a half later. Yes, you read that right! This means that the sequel will start right after , with her landing in Italy.

� It saddens me to say that the main gang from BOY&I will not be a "recurring cast" in the next book, but they might make some appearances here and there. Though it will mostly be Maia and Ella via chat, voice or video calls, etc.

(Sorryyyyy to the hardcore fans, especially Sam's; looking at you Stella!)

� There will be a new cast, including other main and secondary characters (won't say more :P)

� As I mentioned above, the story will be set in Italy. There will be a loooot of research involved and, of course, it won't be perfect as I've never been there. Please forgive me for any grave mistakes I could make, and feel free to correct me privately if needed (back it up, though, please).

� It will take me some time to start starting as I will be busy with the self-publishing process, but I will keep everyone updated with everything. AND, most likely, I will also self-publish the sequel instead of posting it all on Wattpad :)

I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing another ARC, this time by my good friend June. And let’s just say that this story hit me like a bag of bricks (in a good way).

“Sometimes, in order to appreciate what you have now and where your life is going, you have to let go of the ideas your past self had of how things would one day be."

This story packs a world of life lessons that I didn’t even know I needed to hear (or read), it’s emotional to the very last second, and the storyline is just beautiful.

More than a love story, it is a journey about life—two lives—and how they coincide in more ways than one. I devoured this story in one day, and I wish I could experience it for the first time again.

I do want to say that my reason for giving the story 4.5 stars instead of 5 is because I felt like Tara's and Austin's storylines with Mills felt a little rushed, or it could've used a liiiitle more build-up.

Other than that, this story was perfect or....“Beyond the stars, Hermosa.�

I fell in love with the characters the second each of them appeared on the pages, they're so well written, and the story felt so real to me. So, so real that it's as if I got sucked into the world, and now I'm fighting to get back in.

Oohh, and how beautifully you painted the picture of what is Silver Valley, Umbra, and the magic/science of it all. It's so, so good, it was as if I walked in Savannah's shoes as we slowly discovered the truth.

This story restarted my flaming love for sci-fi with a touch of fantasy...but now it's all over and I feel like a part of myself is missing. Thank you, Arabella, for giving me the opportunity to witness the magic you created.

And I'm eager to see what's next for this masterpiece because I can't get enough of it. Count me in for the ride, I'm ready to see the stars!!
