A Darker Shade of Magic re-ignited my love of magic, for worlds filled to the brim with it but hold a certain subtlety to it.

So much happens in this music, so many great storylines and plot lines, and so much that I wasn’t expecting (like Lila and pirates).

I’m curious to see what happens in the rest of the series, how it ties to this story, and if they dive deeper into to Black London

What a book to start the year…First 5-star of 2024��

To start off, I did not experience this book to be a quick read, considering the theme of ExtraOrdinaries. I loved every word of it and love the characters even more (at least loved to hate Eli).

“Vicious�� is definitely addictive, I could not put it down, even for the New Year’s celebrations. Do yourself a favor, read this book, and make sure to have “Vengeful�� on standby��.trust me.

Book II: Vengeful | 5⭐️

A slower read than Vicious but addicting nonetheless! Vengeful had me on edge from start to finish, pulled me into their twists without seeing them coming, and leaves me wanting more!

Can’t wait for the possible 3rd book and read her other series.

Too many quotes to put into a review��.for the first books that’s ever blown my mind��

It is undeniably my now favorite book and I’m painfully aware that’s it’s over—leaving me thirsty for more.

So glad I already have the two installments and there’s no actual reason to panic…but, you know, it’s time to wallow in the emptiness that the story left behind as it ends.

Book II: The Wise Man’s Fear | 5⭐️

Wish with all my heart that there was an end to this series, some answers or resolution to the story.

Guess all I have left is the love and admiration for this series.

Book II.5: The Slow Regard of Silent Things | 3⭐️

The Slow Regard of Silent Things is a brief, bittersweet glimpse of Auri’s life, a small adventure all her own. At once joyous and haunting, this story offers a chance to see the world through Auri’s eyes. And it gives the reader a chance to learn things that only Auri knows...

It’s a bittersweet feeling, reading this book. I was expecting something more��.more insight into the series and maybe some answers about what happens after book 2 with Kvothe.

The entire story is just following Auri around in the underthing and literally nothing ever happens. Still left feeling empty and seeking a better ending to the series……which we will not get.

AND I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW THIS ENDED, YOU HAVE BROKEN MY HEART! You damn sure know how to write a good cliffhanger��

This is a nonfiction, journaling-style, novella in which each chapter is a different emotion and season of life that I've gone (or going) through. Everyone deals with their thoughts and inner turmoils in their own way, this one just works for me.

Be forewarned that some chapters might be hard to read. As one of my beta readers said, "It’s deeply emotional and raw."
