By profession, I am a hematopathologist, a laboratory physician who specializes in diagnosis of diseases of blood, bone marrow, and lymph nodes, such as leukemia and lymphoma. In my off time, I write LGBT Fantasy and Scifi books. Yes, I realize the irony that I write about vampires. ;)

Note: I do not guarantee a happy ending to any individual book within each series.

The Secret Histories

I decided it was unfair to give such a stripped down story experience for the Fourth Age, which is essentially an abridged version of the Pact Arcanum Saga.

Therefore, I have removed the Fourth Age 1-10 books from circulation. The Secret Histories now ends with book 3, part 3.

The story continues from there with Sunset, Pact Arcanum Book 1.

The Fifth Age story will now be a standalone book, which wil Read more of this blog post »

Reviewed for SPSFC4. A fairly prosaic first contact and return story, stranger-in-a-foreign-land to stranger-at-home. A subtle ending, but a good ending doesn't significantly elevate a solid but average book to greatness. 3/5 stars. Full review (may ...more

“Mortals die, Nick. It's what they do." Lorcan's eyes bored into him. "To attach yourself to them is to watch them grow old and feeble while you remain forever young. You will see their love turn to envy, then to resentment, then hatred, as they are forced to confront their own mortality reflected in your eyes.”
Arshad Ahsanuddin, Sunset

“I am a Child of the Twilight. I hold the line against the Darkness, from the setting of the sun to the dawning of a new day. I live for the Light, I die for the Light. My eyes are open, and I am not afraid.”
Arshad Ahsanuddin, Sunrise

“Grabbing Jeremy's lapels, Nick pulled him closer, grasping him not with fingers but with claws. His face inches away from Jeremy's, his eyes burning red, his fangs sharp and gleaming, he screamed, "BECAUSE YOU'RE MINE! NO ONE THREATENS WHAT'S MINE AND WALKS AWAY!" His growl rumbled through the room, ratcheting down into the subsonic. "I WILL BURN DOWN WHOLE ARMIES BEFORE I LET THEM TAKE YOU FROM ME!"...

"Jesus, big brother," said Toby. "I know vampires are territorial when it comes to their mates, but you're way out in front for the possessive macho bullshit award."

Nick sighed. "I know. I've got to work on that.”

“Writing a book is an adventure. To begin with it is a toy and an amusement. Then it becomes a mistress, then it becomes a master, then it becomes a tyrant. The last phase is that just as you are about to be reconciled to your servitude, you kill the monster and fling him to the public.”
