Miranda returns to the Austin City Limits stage on April 19, 2017
Miranda’s making her third appearance on on April 19th in support of her sixth album,The Weight of These Wings. Since the Lindale, Texas native’s , she has earned widespread acclaim, including two Grammy Awards, thirteen Country Music Association Awards, and an astonishing twenty-five Academy of Country Music Awards.

Applications Open Now for Second Annual Miranda Lambert ‘Women Creators� Scholarship
Reigning Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year Miranda Lambert recently used a tour warm-up show to make a major difference in the life of an aspiring female songwriter. Thanks to a sold-out club show in Chicago, Lambert will for the second year fund the Miranda Lambert Women Creators Scholarship at Belmont University’s . The purpose of the fund is to provide a scholarship to an outstanding female student who is majoring in music business, songwriting or entertainment industry studies.
“I am so happy to continue supporting this scholarship fund for Women Creators at Belmont University’s Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business,� said Lambert. “To be able to assist women in a meaningful way means the world to me.�
Lambert raised the funds to continue the scholarship for a second year with her Jan. 24 club show at Joe’s Bar in Chicago, a rehearsal for her current Highway Vagabond Tour, which supports her 2016 album,The Weight of These Wings. Songwriter Natalie Hemby, a Belmont graduate, joined her for the concert.
Doug Howard, dean of the Curb College, said, "We are grateful and humbled by the continued generous support given by Miranda Lambert to the women songwriters and artists at the Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business. The level of participation and excitement displayed by our students in connection with this scholarship has been overwhelming, and this year's gift is once again evidence of Miranda's firm commitment to inspire and empower the next generation of female creators and entertainment industry leaders."
Applications are now open for the 2017-18 scholarship. Candidates must complete an online application and submit an original song. A Curb College selection committee will review the applications, and a group of finalists will be sent to Lambert review. Award notification is anticipated to occur in late spring.

Fifth ACM Album of the Year Nomination of Her Career
Vanner Records/RCA Records Nashville GRAMMY Award-winner Miranda Lambert receives SIX nominations for the 52ndAcademy of Country Music Awards (ACMs) including ALBUM OF THE YEAR for The Weight of These Wings. This nomination marks Lamberts FIFTH consecutive album to be recognized in the ACM Album of the Year Category. Within the Album of the Year category, Lambert holds the record for most ALBUM wins, by an artist, in ACM History.
In addition to ALBUM OF THE YEAR Lambert also received nominations for FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR, which she is currently the seven-time reigning recipient, SINGLE OF THE YEAR (“Vice�), SONG OF THE YEAR (“Vice,� as the artist and songwriter), and VIDEO OF THE YEAR (“Vice�).

The music video was shot in Watertown, TN and once again, Miranda tapped video-director Trey Fanjoy to oversee the fun that ensues within the confines of a small town beauty parlor. The video that will almost certainly put a smile on your face includes some of Miranda’s personal friends, including songwriters Natalie Hemby and Waylon Payne, whom both have credits on Miranda’s critically acclaimed sixth studio album, .

“Fill The Little Red Wagon� animal shelter campaign embraced by Miranda’s fans
As the Highway Vagabond Tour got off to a great start, Miranda is rallying the support of pet lovers by calling on concertgoers to support her passion and to “Fill The Little Red Wagon� at her tour stops with food and supplies to help animals in need.
The country superstar is offering up the chance for one lucky fan and a guest to meet her before her performance. To enter, all you have to do is drop off pet food, treats or toys into the “Little Red Wagon� that is set up at the entrance of the venue on the evening of her shows. All donations benefit local shelters.

“The food drive from the concert was a huge help to our organization,� Says Anna Yendes from Castaway Animal Rescue Effort in Springfield, MO. “People donated more than 600 lbs of food to us, plus an assortment of treats, canned food and other supplies. Our shelter, like many others, run on very tight budgets so we are constantly low on everything and worried about running out. Food drives like these are great because it allows us to help more animals that need it. Our cats and dogs were very happy when I got back to the center with all the donations!�

Miranda to Perform at ACL Live at The Moody Theater
MJ&M Event will be held April 20-21 2017 in Austin, Texas to Benefit Children’s Charities
, the joint fundraising effort of ESPN analyst and legendary football coach Mack Brown, ACM award-winning recording artist Jack Ingram and Academy Award®-winning actor Matthew McConaughey, announced today that Grammy award-winning, Vanner Records/Sony Nashville recording artist, Miranda Lambert will headline its gala night on Thursday April 20, 2017 with Jack Ingram opening as part of MJ&M’s two day event in Austin, Texas. Tickets are available to the public on Friday, February 3rd at 10 a.m.
Texas native Miranda Lambert is the reigning ACM Female Vocalist of the Year, having been bestowed the honor for seven consecutive years. Her recognitions include 2 Grammy Awards, 13 Country Music Associations (CMA) Awards, and 25 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards as well as many other accolades. Miranda released her most recent effort, a double album titled The Weight of These Wings in November 2016, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart.

The Weight of These Wings Soars into 2017
