Miranda Named to TIME’s Annual TIME100 List of the 100 Most Influential People in the World
TIME named Miranda Lambert to the 2022 TIME100, its annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. The full list and related tributes appear in the June 6 / June 13 double issue of TIME, available on newsstands on Friday, May 27, and now at .
“This is further proof that God dreams bigger than any of us ever do, shares the Texan of TIME’s prestigious distinction. “I'm so honored to join this year’s class of TIME100 as this recognizes that our team, our band, our crew, fellow songwriters, producers and collaborators are being acknowledged for shaking things up and coloring outside the lines to bring even more people under our Country music tent.
The list, now in its nineteenth year, recognizes the impact, innovation and achievement of the world’s most influential individuals.
Whether challenging conventional notions in her current Top 15 If I Was A Cowboy, So mommas if your daughters grow up to be cowboys, so what?, using her voice to write and record the inclusive Y’all Means All, or lending her time to raise money for MuttNation Foundation (her nonprofit that provides support to animal shelters and encourages adoption), as NPR observes, the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year continues to “establish her own American iconography.
Continuing her record year, Lambert returns to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, June 8 and joins The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige on ABC’s broadcast of the TIME100 Gala on Thursday, June 9 before rejoining her The Bandwagon Tour at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in New York on June 9.

Watch Miranda on CBS Sunday Morning
Miranda appeared on “ in celebration of her new album, available everywhere now. The Texas native shared an expansive look at her storied career and the new project with correspondent Lee Cowan, discussing everything from her businesses and her marriage to her new album and passion for supporting rescue animals.
“I’ve learned a lot about myself, Lambert shared with Cowan when discussing the release of her eighth solo project. “I think at some point, you just start to settle into who you are. I think that’s why you feel that peace coming from me, ‘cause I feel at peace with myself.
“You don’t have to be tortured to be good, she added of the lessons she’s learned in recent years. “You can write a sad song and not have to live every sad song you ever write, you know? It’s an impossible way to live.
The first female entertainer to have a presence on Broadway hosted Cowan at her Downton NashvilleCasa Rosabar and restaurant for the conversation, also performing intimate renditions of “In His Arms and “Strange from the venue’s stage. Lambert and Cowan also strolled down Broadway to a nearby Boot Barn where herɾԻclothing line is sold to discuss her passion for branching out in natural ways beyond music, including via herMuttNation Foundationin support of shelter pets.
The comprehensive segment comes on the heels ofPalomino’s release, the latest in a critically acclaimed discography that has already earned substantial praise for the most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history.
“Miranda Lambert is one of our greatest working songwriters, declares, whilenotes, “Lambert’s delivery is pitch perfect as she delivers some of her most on-point lyrics ever, joining rave reviews from,,,,,,,and more.
Lambert will take the new music as well as her decade-plus catalog of hits on the road this spring as her co-headliningwith Little Big Town kicks off in her home state of Texas this Friday, May 6, before she travels to Las Vegas for her recently announcedresidency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s Zappos Theater this September, with dates scheduled through April 2023.

Miranda is Pollstar Cover Girl
Miranda Lamberthas forged her music-forward brand of superstardom the same way heroes Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Emmylou Harris did: crisscrossing America’s highways, taking her songs to the people. Along the way, she’s become the most awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history, includingninestraight Female Vocalist of the Year Awards andfiveAlbum of the Year Awards; wonsevenCountry Music Association Female Vocalist of the Year Awards along withtwoAlbum of the Year Awards; and she took last year’s GRAMMY for Country Album of the Year forWildcard, an award she’s nominated for in 2022 for her Jon Randall/Jack Ingram campfire albumThe Marfa Tapes.
As Lambert heads across the Atlantic to anchor the C2C Festival in the United Kingdom and Ireland,POLLSTARplaces the superstar on the cover. Headlined , the story traces the rise of a young female artist intent on making music on her own terms, from touring the nation in an SUV hauling a trailer through headlining major festivals, including Country Thunder, Tortuga Music Festival and the first female headliner of this year’s Windy City Smoke Out.
For Lambert, it’s a mission of not just taking the music to the people, but speaking for those who need someone to represent their place in the world. As she tells the touring trade, “I feel like the girls I’m singing to, or even the people listening, are people just like me. Men or women, they’ve made their mistakes, they go through things, high and low. So, I tell stories for everyone who can’t. I’m kinda representing all of us.
The six-page spread follows her rise from the moment at the 2005 CMA Awards when a young artist danced in front of a wall of flames, through turning down an opportunity to headline early, a game-changing Ryman show for the release ofRevolution and her commitment to hard ticket-selling.
Speaking to Live Nation head of country touring Brian O’Connell, longtime manager Marion Kraft, Joe’s Bar/Joe’s Live owner Ed Warm and William Morris/Endeavour’s Joey Lee, a picture is painted of a woman willing to do the work, unafraid of what it takes to create a musical legacy that will endure and as O’Connell notes, “Onstage, big or small, you have to keep up with her. She closed because most people can’t follow her and nobody does what she can.
Whether telling a story about a night on a co-headlining tour with Jason Aldean, where she came off the bus from a business meeting to talk to two young girls out on a school night, or setting up her own merchandise after her first soundcheck at Joe’s Bar, what emerges is a woman committed to connecting with her fans on the most personal level. Looking at her success,POLLSTARsurmises, “Lambert wants to keep it interesting, lean into music and give people more than they wanted, but what they didn’t know they needed.
“I’ve put my life in my songs, says the uncompromising force of nature, “and I’ve never counted on my hair, my make-up and my looks to get me over. I’ve used my guitar. A guitar and a real stubborn head will get you a long, long way.
It’s working. AsPOLLSTARponders what it takes to win Entertainer of the Year, Lambert just keeps working. With a summer tour, C2C this week and more, she’s busy. Just how she likes it.

MuttNation Launches Fund to Help Music Community
Miranda with her rescue dog Jessie
Today Miranda announced that her nonprofit, MuttNation, is partnering with the Waggle Foundation to form the MuttNation Fund to help music community members impacted by COVID-19 with their pets' medical bills.
Explaining how the idea came to her, Miranda, who has nine rescue dogs, said, “It really hit home when my backup singer and close friend Gwen’s shelter dog, Earl, became extremely ill in early March, just as the pandemic was taking hold and our tour had to stop. After taking him to several vets, she was told Earl had a rare liver disorder. Then there were multiple hospital stays, relapses, more hospital stays Earl is doing great now, but he’ll require ongoing treatment for the rest of his life. It was such an unexpected major expense at an already tough time. So, it got me thinking that there must be a lot more people whose careers in the music industry have been on pause due to lack of live performance opportunities, and who are struggling with their pets vet bills. Because music and mutts are my two passions, I knew I had to do something and thought that starting this fund would help both the music community that’s been so supportive of me, and their pets.
Miranda also said that MuttNation chose to partner with Waggle because, “It was the perfect fit for us. They have all the pieces in place and 100% of the donations go directly to their dog or cat’s vet, so everyone can be sure their support goes where it needs to go.
Application for the MuttNation Fund is open to anyone who is a member of the broader music community who has a dog or a cat with medical needs and has been impacted by COVID-19. Music community members include musicians, singers, songwriters, engineers, producers, management, music venue staff and other music industry employees. You can apply for support here:
MuttNation is jumpstarting the Fund with a generous matching grant donation, and the MuttNation Fund at Waggle will be supported and sustained through online donations by caring people who are moved to help after reading the stories about the pet in need on the MuttNation Fund page. 100% of the donations received are sent directly to the pet’s attending veterinarian. If more than enough funds are raised for any one pet, the extra funds rollover into the MuttNation Fund to keep helping more dogs and cats.
For all of Miranda’s great animal-loving fans who are not working members of the music community, Waggle can help you, too! Just go to the Waggle website and find out how to apply .

Last year, Tractor Supply Company partnered with Miranda to create the successful MuttNation Fueled by Miranda Lambert collection of beds, toys, gear and more, with proceeds supporting MuttNation Foundation’s efforts to advance the adoption of shelter pets and support animal rescues across the country.
Asked why she decided to branch out with pet food, Miranda replied, “Developing ‘On The Farm felt like a natural and authentic progression to me.
