Why I'm probably not answering phone calls any time soon.
The word of the year - BUSY. Actually, "busy" may not cover it.
Let's go down the list...
Ìý
BATTLEPUG!
IT WAS JUST NOMINATED FOR AN EISNER AWARD!!!! Dark Horse Comics is releasing a collection of the first year's worth of story in July. You can order it at your local comic store and online at Amazon or anybody else that sells books! Please buy it!
Ìý
REVIVAL!
It's a spooky story about a small town in Wisconsin where for one day, everyone that dies comes back to life. It's a really exciting book and I hope you dig it! That also starts in July from Image Comics.
Ìý
IT GIRL and THE ATOMICS!
From the pages of Madman comes IT GIRL! The beautiful hipster with the ability to mimic the properties of anything. Comes out in August from Image. It's written by Jamie S. Rich and colored and lettered by my trusty Battlepug team of Allen Passalaqua and Crank! We promise it to be as ginchy as Madman gets.... Especially since Mike Allred oversees it all!
Ìý
XEVIOUS
Remember the classic top down arcade spaceship shooter? Well Namco/Bandai and Shifty Look are bringing it back to life. Mike Costa of G.I.JOE fame and I are making it and you can see it ever
Ìý

I should be able to tell you about that project soon as well as tell you what Archie covers you can find me on soon!

Been a while! (Part 2)
Seems like the only time I update this site lately is to talk about how long it's been in between posts! Sorry about that if you've been coming by to get the latest. I've been turning to things like Twitter and Facebook to update my news items. I'm going to try to update a little more regularly now due to a lot of new projects happening this year.
After finishing Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt last year at Marvel I decide to make a serious effort to do more creator-owned material in 2012. I still have some company work coming out soon (I did background art alongside the talented Jamie McKelvie on Marvel's X-Men Season One graphic novel shipping in March), but you'll mostly be seeing me at other companies this year. I've got new gigs doing new things and I couldn't be more excited.
First up, REVIVAL with good friend and studio-mate, Tim Seeley. I'm not going to give too many details yet on this one... only that it's a completely different sort of book than I usually do and I really think that people are going to dig it. Scary stuff from Tim and I at Image
Next, my webcomic Battlepug will be collected soon. I will be sure to announce details soon.
Then there's the OTHER Image book I'm doing. It's secret... SEEEECCCREEEET!
Finally, Oni Press is collecting all three of my Curse 24 Hour comics into one big hardcover. If you didn't catch it (or did and like it!) this'll be your chance to get it. That comes out in September.
Ìý
Convention season is already starting! My first appearance will be in London, England this February 25th & 26. I WILL be doing sketches there, but I don't do pre-orders. Just a first come, first serve sort of thing. Prices should still be $40 or whatever that equates to that fancy british money! I'm really looking forward to it!

Things are... happening.
Today, announced some pretty big news about Sean McKeever and I doing another mini-series at the House of Ideas. I figured it was time to let everybody in on how busy 2011 is shaping up to be.
First off, of course, is Fear Itself: Youth In Revolt this May from Marvel. For the first time in four years I'm doing a Marvel series (My DC exclusive expires this month.) and it's with the guy I started over there with. On top of it all, the character we created together, Gravity, is playing a major role in the book. You can read more about it at and hopefully you'll put it on your pull list.
Of course, I'm not giving up Young Justice at DC. Art and Franco are a joy to work with and I'm loving the characters. I hope you're watching that series weekly and buying the comic as well. If you're not, well... I'm just plain sad.
I'm pretty fast.
Keeping on in the "Big News" department- My BRAND NEW WEBCOMIC is launching on Monday (Valentine's Day). I'm pretty excited about this. Since I've been doing the past two years on 24-Hour Comic Day, I've really caught the bug to do something creator-owned that is just quick and fun and hopefully entertaining to all of you. You can read it every Monday at .
I've also been drawing a webcomic weekly for a few months now called . Have you been reading it? Please do. It's good. I'd thank you for it. You can read it online here!
The last and definitely not least involves my creator-owned character The Answer, (the group Tim Seeley, Josh Emmons, Sean Dove and I founded a year ago), and a lot of cool crap that is gonna go down at . Unfortunately, I can't reveal the big secret yet. It's coming though, people.Ìý
Ìý
So that's about it. We're just a month and a half in to 2011, and things have never been crazier (in a good way) Creator-owned comics and grass roots movements are on the collective mind of the comic buying population right now. I'm excited to be a part of it as well as getting to draw characters I love from the companies I grew up reading comics from.Ìý
Yay comics!
