How do you deal with writer鈥檚 block?

Rachell Nichole I'd like to think I don't get writer's block! I know that sounds odd probably since you always hear authors talk about getting it and how to avoid it 鈥辞谤别I'd like to think I don't get writer's block! I know that sounds odd probably since you always hear authors talk about getting it and how to avoid it and what to do when it happens anyway.
I like to think of it as getting stuck, not being blocked. I'm very careful about not burning myself out creatively and with refilling the creative well with new books and movies and reaching out to other writers and authors to talk plot lines and character bios. (less)

But, most writers out there aren't writers because they choose to be鈥辞谤别If you can stop writing, do it! It's not an easy or a get-rich-quick kind of job. But, most writers out there aren't writers because they choose to be. We're writers because we couldn't possible stop writing, even if we wanted to.

Past that, if you must write, write well. Don't stand for mediocrity in your own work or your peers' work. Demand the best of yourself and others in your field.
