Peter Swanson is the author of six novels including The Kind Worth Killing, winner of the New England Society Book Award, and finalist for the CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger, Her Every Fear, an NPR book of the year, and his most recent thriller, Eight Perfect Murders. His books have been translated into 30 languages, and his stories, poetry, and features have appeared in Asimov鈥檚 Science Fiction, The Atlantic Monthly, Measure, The Guardian, The Strand Magazine, and Yankee Magazine.

A graduate of Trinity College, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and Emerson College, he lives in Somerville, Massachusetts with his wife and cat.

Peter Swanson answered Darcy Flurry's question: Did you spend any time living in the UK? Just wondering if the saying 'write what you know' holds true here considering more than one of your characters has lived there for work or school in their early 20s. Based on the number of cats, books/bookstores, and alcoholic beverages in your books, I'm not even going to ask if you like or 'know' those three things. :) PS - you are my favorite author! I lived in the UK when I was ten, eleven, and twelve years old. It made an impression. Since then I go back as often as possible. Peter Swanson answered Duc Le's question: I have just finished The Kind Worth Saving and absolutely loved it. Lily has become one of my all time favorite characters. May I ask, do you plan to write more stories with her and Henry Kimball? Their odd relationship / partnership is wonderful, and I'd love to read more of their adventures. Yes, I have a book coming out in 2024 that will feature Lily Kintner. Henry will be in it, as well, but more of a supporting character. So glad you love Lily. I love writing about her.
