I find if I reserve time to sit in front of my computer, ideas often start to flow. If not, I rely on journal writing, my go-to assistant that helps me get a better handle on my emotions and thoughts. Writer's need time to live life and doing something other than writing like travel, going for a walk in nature, getting together with a friend, or cooking a nourishing meal for oneself is the next right thing to do.
