Ever wonder what the secret is to a really great marriage. Not just good, but Great. The kind that lasts, really lasts, like decades?

Some ask the question, is a Great Marriage still possible? Well, we know first-hand that it is still possible, which we discuss on our "Walking In The Light" podcast..

We start by first taking a look at, who created marriage in the first place, and second, what we believe a great marriage consists of. Finally, we’re get a little personal, and share some information about our marriage (over 53 years).

Great marriages don’t just happen. It takes a willing, committed, man and woman to make a great marriage work.

Podcast - ~Walking In The Light ~

DeBorrah K. Ogans

I have just started a new podcast entitled "Walking In The Light". This podcast is hosted by myself and my husband, Elder Randall Ogans Sr.

In this podcast, we provide biblically based insight on Life & Living, Marriage and Relationships, Family & Parenting, Spiritual Health, and more.

Is there something that is bothering you? Something that you can't talk about? Has someone hurt you that you can't forgive? Has someone said something to you that you can't shake loose? Has someone taken something away from you; or wronged you in some way? Do you crave acceptance? Do you feel rejected? Are you impatient, frustrated, fed up, and just plain angry? Does the slightest little thing set you off?

Whatever the cause, don't let it continue to hold you a prisoner. If you don't do something about it, you will only allow the seed of bitterness to become rooted and develop deep within.

Listen to the first episode, , and learn how to stop what's eating you from eating away at the core of your being.

There Is A Fountain

Lose all thy guilty stains, wash all my sins away, be saved to sin no more.

There Is A Fountain Filled With Blood is one of the time tested hymns that reminds us of the finished work Christ did on the cross. He died on a cross for the sins of the world, was buried, but rose from the grave with all power in HIS hands. He conquered sin and the grave.

For God so loved the world that HE gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. Because of what HE did, we can lose all of our guilty stains, wash all of our sins away, and be saved to sin no more.

There Is A Fountain

There is a fountain filled with blood
Drawn from Immanuel’s veins
And sinners, plunged beneath that flood
Lose all their guilty stains

The dying thief rejoiced to see
That fountain in his day
And there may I, though vile as he
Wash all my sins away

Dear dying Lamb,Thy precious blood
Shall never lose its power
Till all the ransomed church of God
Be saved, to sin no more

to listen to the new release by Elder Randall Ogans Sr. & Dorian Ogans. This is an uplifting instrumental interpretation of the hymn. As you listen, meditate on the saving power of the blood.

He Gave Us The Very Best He Had Give Him The Very Best You Have

Once again the Christmas season is upon us. Many people are shopping, preparing to give gifts to friends and loved ones. It is a good thing to give, for God has said in His word that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

We know that the greatest gift that was given, was from God. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). That gift is Jesus the Christ, whose birth we celebrate at this time.

Years ago, I used to play a song for choirs which we would sing at our church services every year. It was always one of my favorites, as it was a reminder of how God gave us His best, and why we in turn should always want to give Him our best. Not just in our church activities, but in the life we live every day.

This song was penned many years ago by James Dewitt Johnson. It tells the story about the birth of Jesus, and what He did for us, which is why He is the best gift ever given to this world.

“He Gave Us The Very Best He Had

God gave to the world, His only begotten son

To bring peace and great tidings, of great joy

And the star, from the East, shined on this great boy

God gave us, the very best, He had

The shepherds, they followed the star, to the east, where Jesus lay

All wrapped in swaddling clothes, in a manger, filled with hay

The wise men, they came from afar

Just to see this great child, that had been sent, by God

The Son went to Calvary, and He hung, on the cross

Just to save this world, from sin, and lost

He hung, on the cross, for it was all He could do

And to the world, His love, He did prove

God gave us, the very best,He had

God gave us, His son

The most precious gift, from anyone

God gave us, the very best, He had

Jesus Christ is the best gift that has ever been given. God gave us His best. That should make us always want to give Him our best. Not just at Christmas, or just in our local church activities, but in our daily living.

Give him the best in your walk, in your talk, and in how you look. We are children of the most High God, a royal priesthood. When we come together to worship, remember you are presenting yourself before the King of Kings, the ultimate royalty. Therefore, dress your best, walk your best, talk your best, give Him your best praise. Live your best, and be His true church everyday and everywhere.

Know that Jesus is coming back, not for a building, but for a church(people) without spot or wrinkle.

God gave us the very best He had. Give Him the very best you have.

Nineveh was the capital of the ancient powerful Assyrian Empire. They were known for their brutality, disrespectfulness, carnality, cruelty and violence.

Jonah was called by God. He was sent to the city of Nineveh by GOD. Jonah means “Dove! He was to preach to them. Jonah did not want to go to Nineveh. So, he instead tried to flee to Joppa aboard a ship. But the Lord sent a great wind that caused a furious tempestuous storm upon the sea. Jonah knew he was the cause. The mariners on board finally threw Jonah overboard at his request. God had prepared a “Great Fish that swallowed up Jonah. He was in the belly of the fish for (3) three days. Jonah fervently prayed in the belly of the Great Fish. The Great Fish finally spit Jonah out on dry land. He then reluctantly went to Nineveh after traveling (3) three days. Jonah preached to the people as well as and the King of Nineveh telling them to REPENT! If they did not REPENT they would be overthrown after (40) forty days. Well the King as well as the people of Nineveh believed GOD and repented. (See details in the Book of Jonah)

But years later again Nineveh backslide and once again returned to their old ways. It is in the Book of Nahum where it records the final destruction of Nineveh.

“GOD IS JEALOUS, AND THE LORD REVENGETH, AND IS FURIOUS; THE LORD WILL TAKE VENGEANCE ON HIS ADVERSARIES AND HE RESERVETH WRATH ON HIS ENEMIES.

THE LORD IS SLOW TO ANGER, AND GREAT IN POWER, AND WILL NOT acquit the wicked… NAHUM 1 (See the details in the Book of Nahum)

CHRIST JESUS WAS GOD’S LOVE MANIFESTED IN SINLESS FLESH!!! “…HE SENT HIS SON TO BE THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS. I JOHN 4ABBA FATHER GOD, WE ACKNOWLEDGE YOU AS THE KING OF Kings & THE LORD OF Lords. YOU ARE THE ALPHA & THE OMEGA, THE BEGINNING & THE END, THE FRIST AND THE LAST. ABOVE YOU THERE IS NO OTHER.
