Color Me Beach Glass! Join Me for a Fun Online Event

If you’ve been following my writing career, then you know how much I like beach glass. (And if you haven’t been following my writing career until now, you’re about to learn:)

IT ALL STARTED WITH A JET SKI

Yep, my husband bought a jet ski in 2014, and we began taking it to Edgewater Park in downtown Cleveland. It was there I discovered my first piece of glass. A beachgoer explained it was created from discarded bottles tossed into the lake many years ago. The glass is pounded by the waves, until eventually, it washes up on shore as shiny smooth-colored gems. Some colors are rare, such as yellow, orange and red, while other colors (white, brown and green) are fairly common. All of it is beautiful, and I soon began making bookmarks, framed art and ornaments from the pieces I collected.

I also began writing my debut novel, MIND WAVES. The book was born from long hours spent on the beach, scavenging for treasure, while my husband sped across Lake Erie on the jet ski. Alone on the beach one day, I wondered if someone were watching. Then my writer brain took over, and I imagined the guy watching could read minds. What if he read a stranger on the beach’s mind and fell in love with her, but she had no idea? What would happen next? As I like to say, you’ll have to read the book to find out!

As my writing career grew, so did my love of beach glass. I am now the proud owner of many jars of colorful glass and five published novels–plus a free short story, an agent with an unpublished manuscript, and a romantic comedy in the works. So, why not add an adult coloring book to the mix?

I REALLY DO RUN ON BEACH GLASS, TEA AND BOOKS

When I thought about creating my own coloring book, I didn’t have to think hard about what it would include. My three favorite past-times: beach glass, tea and books. If these are also your favorite things, then you should definitely check it out. The book includes 51 relaxing coloring pages and 50 great excerpts from my books. Pair it with a package of my favorite colored pencils, and it makes a great gift!

If you want a chance to win a free copy, plus the colored pencils, I’ll be showcasing the book LIVE on Facebook Jan. 14, 7 p.m. ET. Get all the details here.

I hope you check out the book. And I hope to see you live Jan. 14!

Until next time, happy reading and coloring,
