Frustration
If you are an author and written and published 1 or more books but family and friends are not in the slightest bit interested then...how on Earth it is possible to hope the wider public will show any interest either..?

I myself would take that as a negative reflection on your family members and the kind of people they are, rather than on the general public or the quality and value of your book.
