When I was a teenager, John Marsden came to my high school as a visiting author. As someone who dreamed of being a writer and adored his work, meeting him and speaking to him was without a doubt one of the most formative and inspiring moments of my young life.
He was a true original who genuinely cared about us. He will live on forever. Vale.
