#YASH IS ON!

Yay! You’ve found my page for the Spring 2015 Young Adult Scavenger Hunt (#YASH)! I’m hosting the fabulous and gorgeous Dhonielle Clayton, author of TINY PRETTY THINGS.

Black Swan meets Pretty Little Liars in this soapy, drama-packed novel featuring diverse characters who will do anything to be the prima at their elite ballet school.

Gigi, Bette, and June, three top students at an exclusive Manhattan ballet school, have seen their fair share of drama. Free-spirited new girl Gigi just wants to dance—but the very act might kill her. Privileged New Yorker Bette’s desire to escape the shadow of her ballet star sister brings out a dangerous edge in her. And perfectionist June needs to land a lead role this year or her controlling mother will put an end to her dancing dreams forever. When every dancer is both friend and foe, the girls will sacrifice, manipulate, and backstab to be the best of the best.

TEN REASONS WHY YOU SHOULDN’T TRUST THE BALLERINAS IN TINY PRETTY THINGS

(1) Because a lot can come of a pas de deux and you just might lose your boyfriend if

he’s not your partner.

(2) They wouldn’t want to walk in your pointe shoes because there might be glass in

them if you’re too good.

(3) The competition is killer. And we’re not just being metaphoric here.

(4) Gigi Stewart might be the new girl, but she knows how to steal a spotlight.

(5) An eating disorder is hardly the biggest secret June Kim is hiding.

(6) Bette Abney’s got the legacy and the killer instinct that comes with it.

(7) Ballet boys might make nice arm candy, but they’re a distraction you can’t afford.

(8) Mr. K might be the man in charge but he’s got secrets of his own.

(9) Think high school is hard? Try dancing six hours a day and living with your

competition.

(10) Make way for the proteges or they’ll trample right over you.

*KADY’S NOTE: THERE WERE ORIGINALLY 13

REASONS NOT TO TRUST THE BALLERINAS, BUT THAT’S JUST ASKING FOR SOME BAD, BAD LUCK.
