message 1: by Alice (new)

Alice Thrilled to see my latest book, THE WINTHROP AGREEMENT (Harper) mentioned as Best Book of the Week. Love hearing from readers—especially when they write that they wanted to know more about some of the characters. I could have written forever about the fascinating people who are part of Mimi Milman's life—the good and the wicked—as she struggles to find her way from an impoverished tenement life on NY's Lower East Side to the heights of haute couture during the Gilded Age.
