Intermittent Fasting and Feasting: Use Strategic Periods of Fasting and Feasting to Burn Fat Like a Beast, Build Muscle Like a Freak and Eat One Meal a Day

Rate this book
Are you struggling with weight loss? Do you have some sort of an illness, such as diabetes, MS or, even worse, obesity? Can you say that you have as much energy as you'd like? Do you want to build muscle easily? Whatever your condition may be, you will definitely benefit from reading this book. Intermittent fasting has been practiced ever since Ancient Greece and is advocated by almost all religions of the world. It's the body's inner healing mechanism and the secret of longevity. This book teaches you everything you need to know about fasting and eating for health. It also includes everything you need to know about this ancient practice and how to start doing it easily. Our early ancestors followed the eating patterns of feasting and fasting. All of their meals were uncertain and happened randomly. This made them stronger than ever before and turned them into apex predators of their environment. Unfortunately, this is something that we don't see in the modern world anymore. If you look at the condition in which the majority of the population is in, then you can definitely see the necessity of some fat burning. Intermittent fasting coupled with feasting unleashes the most powerful anabolic hormones inside our body. It triggers some of our genetic mechanisms that make us build muscle and burn fat simultaneously - the seemingly impossible. Most importantly, it will make you hungry for life and unleashes your killer instinct. To get in touch with your inner predator and warrior, then you should definitely read this book. Siim Land is a modern day Renaissance man and a hunter-gatherer. He has practiced intermittent fasting bodybuilding for several years and has mastered this art form. His knowledge can help you change your life and reach your truest potential as a human being. If you want to become the strongest version of yourself - a warrior and a king - then you should get this book.

Siim Land was born on a small island in the Baltic Sea called Saaremaa. When translated from Estonian to English it literally means "An Island." Growing up in the countryside with beautiful nature surrounding him the man got to spend his childhood in a little piece of paradise which you wouldn't think existed anymore in the industrialized world. Luckily, there are still a few places like these out there.

Being the son of a police officer and a teacher he was brought up in a loving household. Not a stranger to physical labour and virtue he finished highschool and enrolled in the national military service. For 8 months he was a soldier carrying out his civilian duties. During that time he was designated the role of a sharpshooter in his company and received training from professional snipers. After his service he continued his pursuit for wisdom and started studying anthropology at Tallinn University. Currently an undergraduate he is working on his degree aswell as running a blog about his activities and philosophy of being.

At the moment the author of only one book "Becoming a Self-Empowered Being" Siim Land is on a journey to bettering himself as a human being and thus improving the overall condition of mankind. His purpose is not short of the seemingly unimaginable and impossible. Nevertheless, he continues his work and is confident in finishing what he has set out to accomplish. The future is bright as it is only the beginning of his lifelong quest.

The why's and how's of intermittent fasting as part of a ketogenic diet. Well-written and worth considering, if this is your kind of thing.

Worthwhile read

The best book I've read on the subject, it could do with a proof read, but that aside I found it useful and informative.

Needs a much better editor. .

This book has grammar mistakes, homonym misuse, and us repetitive and meandering at times. There are much better books written on this topic.

Normally I wouldn't take health advice from a bodybuilding rando. But I'm already persuaded by normal channels about the benefits of fasting, so this is for the art of it.

Much better than it looks. He is probably too enthusiastic about fasting and keto (though his definition is broad: he skips breakfast every day to get a 16 hour mini-fast). But the evidence is solid for occasional fasts (for weight maintenance in a superstimulating environment, anti-inflammation, immune health, "autophagy" cleanup time).

Very practical. Most important:
Not getting enough electrolytes is the most common reason why people fail fasting
for longer periods of time. if you only consume pure water, then you’re practically just flushing out all of the essential minerals from your body, which can cause serious dehydration and
problems with nerves.

The most important electrolytes you need are sodium, magnesium, and potassium. But you also have to pay attention to the quantities [given]...

Free here, though it plugs his paid diet regime.

Interesting and informative

I really like this guy. His writing is unapologetically confident. The book is very interesting and took me down unexpected roads. More than the average IF book. Well worth the purchase.
