I was really unsure if this should get two or three stars, but I fell down on two, if I could it would be two and a half.
The first hundred pages of this was a real struggle for me. I didn't like the writing style, the vintage photoes weren't scary and I felt the writer jumped through hoops to get the story to fit the photographs he wanted to use.
I must say it got better though. When things actually started to happen in the story I enjoyed it much more, but it still wasn't a great book. ...more

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (MPHPC for short) is a really special book. I’ve already read it three or four times, and every time I enjoy it just as much as the first time. There’s something beautiful about the way a tangible set of photos from the real world we live in was magical enough to create such a compelling and thrilling story.

I was so surprised by this book. I had no idea what it was about. So I started it with a clearmind, other then I seen the book mentioned on loads of english blogspot last year.
So I could not wait to get my fingers on this one :)
Ohh.. Was I right to be excited.
I read the norwegian edition. And I loved it. Can't wait for the sequal to come out.. Me need it now.
This is a Young Adult book perfect for both boys and girls. In the age of 13 and up :)
