This book is...
Well it is really hard to explain what this book is like.
I have compared it to a David Lynch movie, but it's not exactly like that really-- it's just that there is a sense of strangeness like you are being told a story out of order and you have to put the puzzle pieces together to understand it.
He is an incredible writer, and the imagery alone is just awesome.

My first Murakami, and I thought that it was great. The book was easy to read, complex and very gripping. I became caught up in the various characters and trying to figure out what was going on.

I did it. I finally finished this book. Before my deadline (of tomorrow). Like my good friend Jennifer said, "I read the sh*t out that book." Which isn't completely true since it took me like 4 months to read because I was unfocused (it was all me and not the book). But I read the last 300 pages in the last 3 days so I feel like I redeemed my slacker self.
