Listen to it on Audible. I have been listening in the car, and I find myself laughing out loud. I'm only half way through but loving it so far. It has made me think differently of my own pet cat!
Karen
The paperback edition I am reading is printed on good quality thick paper. It will keep just as well as a hardback.
Lara Vehar
I ordered the paperback one from book depository. The spine is a tad bit hard to bend so you may have problems pushing the book down in order to read it without it closing on you but the quality seems good, better than most of the paperbacks I own.

I got the hardcover version and loved it because of the beautiful dust jacket. Definitely recommend it—it's a satisfying book to hold in your hands.
Lucia
Although I agree that the paperback seems to be of a good quality (the one with the picture of a black cat on it) I found it really hard to keep the book open, my hands were hurting a lot during reading

It depends on your climate. Where I live we have very hot summers (temperatures of 40ºC plus for weeks on end) which turns all paperbacks yellow eventually. If you live in a cooler climate, I'd definitely go with a quality paperback; if it's not a quality edition, go for hardcover. Just my experience talking.
Ellie
In this instance the paperback quality is so good that I think you would be happy with it. I am.
Lori
Either way, depending on your preference. The hardback is double the money. I'm very happy with my paperback.
Kristin
Just get it. It's charming and funny and sad/sweet
Josephine Briggs
I ordered the hardback version for me and to give as gifts. A good book to keep. Enjoyable read.
