The author makes a mistake, right? Maureen's mom's name would be the same as hers, NOT Perks. But when they are about to pick their child, Gertie, I believe her name was, the lady calls out saying it's Mrs. Perks turn. Did anyone else catch that?

I believe this was a mistake, being that Nelson’s last name was Perks.
