Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ asked Greta Kelly:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Greta Kelly Growing up I was very close with my older brothers. We were always running around the yard having nerf fights and watching those iconic war movies of the 90's and 2000's like Gladiator, Braveheart, Kingdom of Heaven and so, so many more. But it was so rare for any of those movies to have women in them that, well, actually did stuff.
I used to spend hours daydreaming ways that I could shoehorn a badass woman into those story lines. Women who didn't just sit on the sidelines waiting to be rescued, or worse: get killed off in act one to motivate the 'heroic' male lead.
It wasn't until college that the framework for Frozen Crown started to come together in my mind. If you read the book, it won't come as too much of a surprise to find out that I was an International Relations major. How cultures form, insulate, and inevitably clash has always been interesting to me.
And combining that interest with dreams of fierce warrior women? Well, that's Frozen Crown all the way.
