Thank you for your great work in this book. The methods of the North Korean government to infantilize the population were heartbreaking to read. As time passes, what remains precious to you about the indomitable spirit of the North Korean people?

I cannot speak for all North Koreans, but I loved my students. They were innocent, respectful, polite, funny, adorable, and absolutely sincere. I had never met college students that age be that pure and naive in some sense.

Related to one of your other answers: Do you think it is a realistic possibility that since PUST is training the sons of the elite - the ones likely to have "power" next - that the subtle exposures you and other PUST teachers exposed them to of the outside world will cause them to seek change in the regime?
